In Loving Memory ~
Longtime Bella Coola, BC resident, John 'Maurice' Tuck, age 83, passed away in Abbotsford, BC, on July 15, 2023. Although he worked in the guiding, logging, saw milling, and construction industries, his heart was in ranching. He loved to spend his days being on the land, haying; raising cattle; raising, training, and riding horses; and roping in rodeo events.
A sincere and kind man, who generated warmth and love, and who would always greet you with a smile, Maurice was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us with precious memories and will be dearly missed.
Maurice, you were loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure, although it was a hell of a life and ride to the end, and never boring while it lasted!
So dear Maurice, the last goodbye is the hardest one to say, but this is where our cowboy rides away. We tip our hats to you, till we meet again.
A special thank you to the Interior Health and Northern Health doctors, nurses, and health care teams for the support Maurice received from 2008 to 2015 of fighting with cancer, and then the brain injury and stroke he suffered Jun 01 of 2018; and to the Fraser Health doctors, nurses, and care aids for the excellent care he received in his final two years.
At Maurice's request, no services will be held.
In Lieu of a memorial service and/or flowers, Maurice would appreciate that donations be made to the Caribou Memorial Hospital Foundations; or; take a senior out for a cup of coffee and a chat, which are so important in one's final years.
